Promoting Health with Massage: A Seasonal Approach is a course designed to freshen your thinking about combining styles of massage with adjunct therapies for optimal effectiveness in keeping your clients healthy. Your instructor will combine western massage techniques with techniques rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The course will offer review of acupressure meridians, anatomical structures associated with the meridians, hands on work with fellow students both days of the workshop, and use of adjunct therapies as is appropriate for the season you are studying such as warm stones, cryotherapies, and use of essential oils. The classes are well paced, good natured and lively and will be accessible to the beginner and the seasoned professional. These courses stand alone from each other. You can take them in any order and there are no prerequisites.

SUMMER: PROMOTING HEALTH WITH MASSAGE: A SEASONAL APPROACH. In this course we will explore techniques to help the Heart, Small Intestines, and other organs associated with the season of summer according to TCM. We will utilize cooling therapies to counteract summer’s heat and the element of fire.
